The pattern behind the names
Every name here is a concrete noun from the world your buyer lives in (Ridge, Harbor, Timber, Trail, Forge) plus a plain suffix that says “we sell things” (Supply, Goods, Works, Co., Hardware, Market). That pattern is what most seven-figure general stores use, because it sounds established on day one and lets you change products without changing the sign.

- Why a general-store name instead of a product name?
- You don't know your winning product yet. 'Ridgeline Supply' can sell a dog brush this month and a garage organizer next month. 'PawPerfectBrushes' can't. Name the store, not the product.
- What makes a good Shopify store name?
- Two words, three syllables or so, easy to spell when you say it out loud, and the .com is available. Everything else is taste.
- Is the .com really necessary?
- For a first store, yes. Customers still trust .com most, it matters for ads, and a different name with a free .com beats a great name on .co.
- Can I change my Shopify store name later?
- Yes, both the store name and the domain can be changed in Shopify settings. Choosing well now just saves you a rebrand after you've printed packaging.
